I have scoured the great Joke archives in all the libraries of the world from Maidstone (in Kent) to Timbuktu (in East Sussex); indeed I went even further - to Timbukthree (Hampshire/Surrey borders) - and have chosen only the funny ones. On top of that I’ve given you some of my own jokes which I have told every night for twenty
years and have always got a laugh with (except at the Norwegian Comedy Festival; I blame the audience). If that were not enough, I and an associate (Mr Peter Quinnell of Hastings) have even written some new ones. Basically, if you can’t raise a laugh out of this little book then you’ve had it and, in the words of Simon Cowell, ‘You’re not coming to London. ’
Oh yes, with this book and the mind-bending power held therein you could take over little short of the world. But a word of warning. Use that power only for good. If you use it wrongly your hair will fall out.
